Who we are
RackMap is operated by Costley Group Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in the United Kingdom. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use the RackMap mobile app ("the App").
Location data
The App uses your device's location to show nearby bike racks and to let you search for racks near a destination. Location data is used only to power this core functionality and is not sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes. You can control location permissions at any time in your device settings.
Account and email data
When you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile details you choose to provide (such as a display name). This is used to authenticate you, sync your saved racks and favourites across devices, and send important account or service communications.
Photos you upload
If you upload a photo of a bike rack, it is stored securely and may be displayed publicly within the App to help other cyclists identify the rack. Please do not upload photos containing people, vehicle number plates, or other personal or identifying information you do not wish to share.
Payments
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment provider. We do not store your card details — Stripe handles all payment information in accordance with its own privacy policy and industry security standards (PCI DSS). We retain only the information needed to manage your subscription status (e.g. plan type and renewal date).
How your data is stored
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted storage and access controls. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers necessary to run the App (such as Supabase and Stripe), or where required by law.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the App, or by contacting us below.
Children
RackMap is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under this age.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated within the App or via email.
